Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of CreatorLens (the "Service"), operated at creatorlens1.vercel.app and any related domains we operate. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

This document is a starting template for CreatorLens. It is not legal advice. Have a qualified attorney review it before relying on it for a live commercial product.

1. Who can use CreatorLens

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

2. The Service

CreatorLens provides creator tools, including channel analytics sync, AI-assisted insights and content features, thumbnail generation, and optional multi-platform publishing ("Studio"). Features available to you depend on your plan (Free, Pro, or Creator+) and whether required third-party connections are authorized.

3. Accounts and connected platforms

  • You may sign up with email/password or supported social login (for example, Google).
  • You may connect third-party platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. You authorize us to access data and perform actions only within the permissions you grant through those providers' OAuth screens.
  • You must comply with each platform's terms (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram/Meta, etc.). We are not affiliated with those platforms.
  • You can disconnect platforms in Settings. Disconnecting may remove synced data tied to that connection.

4. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

  • Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown in the Service and may change with notice for future billing periods.
  • Pro and Creator+ may offer a limited free trial (for example, 3 days). Stripe typically requires a payment method at checkout. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for the selected plan.
  • You can manage or cancel renewals through the Stripe customer portal linked from Settings, subject to Stripe's processing times.
  • Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us.

5. AI features and content

  • AI outputs (insights, scripts, titles, thumbnails, captions, etc.) are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate. You are solely responsible for reviewing outputs before use or publication.
  • You retain ownership of content you upload or create. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to operate the Service (including storage, AI processing, and publishing you request).
  • You must not use the Service to upload or publish illegal, infringing, deceptive, or harmful content, or to violate any platform policies.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, abuse, or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, APIs, or systems
  • Resell or misuse API/rate-limited features beyond your plan
  • Use the Service for spam, malware, or unlawful surveillance
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when publishing

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, branding, and documentation, is owned by CreatorLens or its licensors. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or source code except as needed to use the Service.

8. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties (for example Supabase, Stripe, OpenAI, Google, TikTok, Meta). Their outages, policy changes, or API limits may affect features. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE growth, rankings, revenue, or that AI or analytics will be error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CreatorLens AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR $50 IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID).

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk, or if required by law or a platform partner. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
